PLANO, TX, February 4, 2003 - Applied Concepts, Inc. Receives U.S. Patent on Patrol Speed Acquisition in Police Doppler Radar.

Patent (#US 6,501,418) was filed on April 9, 2002 and protects a novel scheme of automatic calibration when the radar uses the Vss signal in a patrol vehicle to perform ground speed steering.

This is the company's 8th patent relating to police radar. The company has several patents pending.
