PLANO, TX, March 5, 2003 - Applied Concepts, Inc. (ACI), Decatur Electronics, Inc. and McCoys Law Line, Inc. are pleased to announce the settlement of two patent infringement lawsuits involving 5 patents, including ACI's digital antenna patent, 5,563,603, and ACI's "fast" patents 5,525,996 and 5,691,724.
In order to avoid the expense and time of litigation, Decatur Electronics, Inc. and McCoy's Law Line, Inc. agreed, with respect to ACI's digital antenna patent, to redesign the antenna of their Genesis II and Speed Track products, paid ACI $100,000, took a license under ACI's fast patents, and dismissed their counterclaim. The parties mutually released each other of all claims and are happy to put this litigation behind them.
