Jim Shaw Implements Third-Generation e-Commerce Solution at Stalker Radar.

Jim Shaw, Marketing Director for Applied Concepts’ line of Stalker brand traffic speed enforcement radars and lasers, has recently completed implementation of the company’s third-generation e-commerce presence.
“In the beginning, May of 2004, we were unsure that technical products costing from $750 to beyond $1,500 could be sold to consumers over the Internet. So we started as an Amazon Affiliate. We were amazed to sell over 70 units in our first year online.”
“That success caused us to bring the e-commerce process inside to save the commission paid to Amazon. We built an interface to our back-end system and launched it in Spetember of 2005. The first 12 months we upped our sales to over 110 units.”
“Toward the end of 2007 we saw an opportunity to really ratchet up sales because up until then we were only selling sport radars. Adding law enforcement in 2008, we thought, could substantially increase sales.”
“And we were right. In the first four months that our shopping cart was functional, we did more than our entire first year in sales. And we're really looking forward to a super 2009 as we introduce five new sport radars and build out our law enforcement presence.”
